Welcome to

The Queen Elizabeth Parks Twinning Project

This is a community conservation project bringing together the individuals, schools and communities of Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda and Queen Elizabeth Country Park in Hampshire, England.

It is a project of cultural exchange, mutual support and has its main emphasis on supporting Conservation through working closely with and empowering local communities and supporting educational initiatives.

The Project is managed by the Queen Elizabeth Country Park's Volunteer Ranger Service

(which is a registered charity) and assisted by Staff and Volunteers of both Parks.

It is supported by the Ugandan Wildlife Authority and in England by Hampshire County Council and the Forestry Commission. All involved volunteer their time, and help in fund raising, organising the projects, working with local communities and schools and in promoting community conservation action in both Queen Elizabeth Parks.

Please take your time to explore our web site and if you would like to find out more or perhaps get involved then contact us we are always happy to chat about our Project.

The idea of ‘Twinning the Queen Elizabeth Parks’ came about when Rangers Charles Etoru from QENP and Steve Peach from QECP met whilst attending a International Ranger Federation Congress in Kruger National Park, South Africa. Finding that they were both presenting displays about Queen Elizabeth Parks, a friendship was made and the idea of Twinning the Parks and Bringing Conservation Communities Together' was born.
